Ms. He is the investment principal at Cartesian Capital Group. She is a distinguished business leader with over 20 years of expertise in private equity, management, and strategic leadership, boasting deep consumer insights and global exposure. As the co-founder of TH International Limited, the master franchisee of Tim Hortons in Greater China, she spearheaded marketing, customer experience, and digital initiatives, leading to the opening of 1000 coffee shops in five years, even during the pandemic. She successfully guided the company to a Nasdaq listing and oversaw the strategic acquisition of Popeyes China for growth diversification. Before that, she enhanced acquisition growth for a leading travel retailer in South Asia and led a major turnaround for Burger King China as CMO. Her career also includes roles in commercial and strategic planning at Bacardi Asia Pacific, and M&A advisory at ChinaVest. Ms. He holds degrees from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Douglas College, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is an active member of the Vistage Global CEO network and board member of Alpha China NGO. Ms. He has visited over 60 countries, further enriching her global perspective and insights.

Judge Wendy Li has been an active and an influential member of the Civil Court of the City of New York during the past six years, issuing thousands of and published more than 70 judicial decisions in civil and criminal cases in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. A firm believer in the principles of fairness, compassion, and equal treatment for all under the law, she is passionate about serving our community as our next Surrogate’s Court Judge in the County of Queens, City of New York. A graduate of Oxford and Peking Universities, Judge Li won election to the court in 2018 after a long and illustrious career in private law practice. She has also long been active in professional and civil affairs, and continues to be so as a judge. She mentors both students and professionals. Many professional and civic organizations have invited her to come speak. Judge Li has also earned seats on the executive boards of many prestigious civic and professional organizations, such as New York City Civil Court Judges Association.

Judge Li offers the Queens Surrogate's Court more than 25 years of legal experience at some of the most prestigious law firms in New York. When elected, Judge Wendy Li will be the first female AAPI Surrogate‘s Court Judge in New York State!

Ms. Wenyan Yang is Chief of Global Dialogue for Development Branch in the Division for Inclusive Social Development of UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs. She has extensive experience working on a broad range of sustainable development issues. Her current work focuses on the social dimension of the sustainable development agenda, addressing poverty, inequality and social inclusion to advance the wellbeing of all people through research and policy analysis, and technical support for national capacity development. Ms. Yang leads the team that coordinates substantive support to the UN Commission for Social Development and contributes to the publication World Social Report. She also serves as DESA’s Principle Focal Point for Gender. Her team is currently leading the provision of analytical and technical support to UN Member States in preparing for a World Social Summit in 2025.

An economist by training, she started her UN career as a macroeconomic policy analyst.
