Mr. Hu Wei is the Chairman of the China General Chamber of Commerce USA and the President & CEO of Bank of China USA (“BOC U.S.A.”). As President and CEO, Mr. Hu is responsible for managing the bank’s operations across its United States branches, providing strategic, financial and operational leadership for the New York, Queens, Chicago, and Los Angeles branches.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Hu served as an Executive Vice President of BOC U.S.A and held several management positions within the Bank of China Group, including Deputy General Manager of the Sydney Branch and Executive Assistant to the CEO of the Bank of China Group. Mr. Hu began his banking career in 2000 as a Risk Management Specialist in the bank’s Head Office .

Mr. Hu received a PhD in Management from Central South University and a Master’s in Economics from Central University of Finance and Economics.
