Shih-Fu Chang is Dean of Columbia Engineering. He has greatly contributed to the growth and advancement of the School, propelling it to be one of the top engineering programs in the nation. He was instrumental in the creation of the School’s guiding vision, Columbia Engineering for Humanity. Dean Chang is also a faculty member in the departments of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, he is one of the most influential experts in multimedia, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.

Xiaoning Qi is the Vice President of Alibaba Group. Previously, he held senior management and technical positions in companies such as Intel, designing integrated circuits and systems. He sits on the board of directors at several international organizations including RISC-V International Association. He is a member of Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) Advisory Board, a member of GSA CEO Council. He has published more than fifty technical papers, a book, and has delivered over four dozen invited talks. Xiaoning received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and is an IEEE Fellow.

Julia Zhan is the founding member of Series AI (backed by a16z and BITKRAFT), an AI technology and game company that is disrupting the way games are made.

Currently, she serves as the Chief Platform Officer, leading construction of an AI-native, multi-modal, full-stack game development platform. Previously as Product Lead at Snap and Riot Games, overseeing product development, content strategy, GTM and live operation. Her career highlights include successful launch of multiple consumer-facing mobile and PC applications with over 100 million user bases. As a strategic thinker and lifelong learner, Julia excels in turning complex challenges into impactful solutions. She received BS from Tsinghua University and master from the UCLA.
